A safe and effective exercise plan for older adults and seniors will improve quality of life, enhance independent living and longevity.

Through extensive research and with highly qualified fitness professionals, Train by Trina now offers a 3 pillared training system specifically designed for older adult fitness safety and fitness, improving physical condition and overall health. To start off your exercise program, Train by Trina Owner and Personal Trainer Trina Lambe will provide a FREE in-home fitness assessment in order to designate the fitness client into one of the following older adult physical readiness/ability categories:

Physically Dependant: characterizes those who have trouble/are unable to execute some of the Basic Activities of Daily Living (BADL);

Physically Frail: characterizes those who are able to conduct all the BADL but are limited when it comes to various capabilities involved in living independently;

Physically Independent: characterizes older individuals who live independently without any debilitating symptoms of major disease but experience some depleted levels of health/fitness;

Physically Fit: characterizes those who exercise or participate in some form of elevated physical activity at least 2 times a week;

Physically Elite: characterizes older adults who train/workout 5-7 days a week, compete in sports tournaments or have physically demanding jobs.

Train by Trina’s system of training older adults and seniors involves identifying which physical category our client fits into the best, determining the individual’s goals, as well as documenting the client’s medical history in order to provide the safest program.

Train by Trina’s objective is to coordinate an effective and positive Client/Trainer relationship and implement a training program that will facilitate a more independent, enjoyable, and comfortable lifestyle.

Q: How will exercise help me to maintain an independent lifestyle?

A: Through joint & muscle strengthening movements and training, clients will experience better posture, balance, improved agility, and general ease of movement overall.

Q: How old is “too old” to start an exercise program?

A: You are never too old to develop your physical activity/ability level!!! Train by Trina’s clientele ranges from men and women aged 20s-90s! With doctoral/ medical clearance and determination there is always room for exercise!!

Q: What if I don’t feel particularly comfortable in a gym environment?

A: This is why Train by Trina will send a certified Personal Trainer to your home or provide Fitness Services for Older Adult communities so you can train with others if that is your preference! and worked with Older Adult communities in your area to develop a small group for training to make it social. Train by Trina makes your training & fitness development as easy and enjoyable as possible!!
